Key Irish Tax Deadlines: August 2026

Staying on top of your tax obligations helps keep your business running smoothly and gives you one less thing to worry about. Planning ahead means you can meet Revenue deadlines with confidence and focus on growing your business.

Here are some of the key Irish tax deadlines for August 2026.

14 August 2026 – Dividend Withholding Tax (DWT) & Professional Services Withholding Tax (PSWT)

Businesses that are required to file Dividend Withholding Tax (DWT) or Professional Services Withholding Tax (PSWT) returns for July 2026 should ensure these are submitted by 14 August 2026.

23 August 2026 – Revenue Online Service (ROS) Filing Deadline

For businesses filing electronically through the Revenue Online Service (ROS), 23 August 2026 is the due date for a number of monthly tax obligations, including:

  • VAT returns and payments (where applicable)
  • PAYE, PRSI and USC employer returns
  • Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT) returns and payments
  • Other taxes due through ROS, depending on your filing requirements

Corporation Tax

Corporation Tax deadlines are based on your company’s accounting period rather than a fixed calendar date. If your filing falls due during August, it’s a good time to review your obligations and ensure everything is prepared in advance.
